Single use vapes are damaging to the health of young people and the environment.
1 in 10 of S4 young people (aged 14-15) regularly vape - attracted by the bright colours and flavours such as lemon, strawberry or even rhubarb and custard.
168 million disposable vapes are bought in the United Kingdom every year - 1.3 million are discarded evety WEEK - sending the equivalent of 10 tonnes of lithium to landfill or incineration every year (enough to power 1200 electric cars!).
The Scottish Government have commissioned Zero Waste Scotland to conduct a review of single-use vapes.
